It is that time of week when we recap the best of the Buckeyes in the big league. The Scarlet and Gray were well represented with NFL talent this weekend, and some former Buckeyes are starting to find their footing as this young season gets into full swing.
The Cleveland Browns found themselves back in the win column on Sunday after dropping 3 straight games. Former Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins had a career-high 3 touchdown effort along with 84 rushing yards. Linebacker Jerome Baker was a key contributor on the defensive side of the ball, converting 3 tackles and a sack. Ronnie Hickman added to his season totals with his first interception of the season. Defensive Back Denzel Ward converted 4 tackles.
The Seattle Seahawks improved to 5-2 on the season with a win over the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football. Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba continued his dominance with another stellar performance, catching 8 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown. Smith-Njigba leads the NFL in receiving yards with 819 and is in a great position to establish himself as one of the game’s best young wide receivers.
The San Francisco 49ers prevailed over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Former Ohio State defensive end Zach Harrison put up a solid performance in the loss, converting 4 tackles and 1 sack. Harrison is having a solid start to the season with 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
The New Orleans Saints’ season continues to go in the wrong direction as the team fell yet again, this time, to the Chicago Bears. Now 1-6, there are very few things for Saints faithful to celebrate. The fans can, however, look forward to watching star wide receiver Chris Olave shine each week. Olave had another stellar performance, catching 5 passes for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The high school football season is heating up, and the stakes are getting higher as teams battle for a chance to win it all. Several future Buckeyes are putting it all on the line to keep their playoff hopes alive for another week. The Southlake Carroll Dragons improved to a perfect 8-0 record on Friday […]

The Good Northwestern’s Train Rolls On Northwestern is 5–2. That’s not a typo. It’s not a fever dream. It’s not a glitch in the standings. The Wildcats — who started this season under a cloud of low expectations and low preseason rankings — just shut out Purdue 19–0 and now sit one win away from […]
34-0 was the result, but even the shutout score doesn’t paint the full picture of this dominating performance. The Badgers (2-5, 0-4) only had 144 total yards on offense for the game. For comparison, Ohio State QB Julian Sayin had 169 yards passing in the first quarter alone. The No. 1 Buckeyes (7-0, 4-0) came […]
