We are now 3 weeks into the NFL season, and some former Buckeyes are continuing to step up in big moments for their respective teams, while some former Buckeyes have had their seasons cut short due to injury. Let’s start with the good news.
Quinshon Judkins is getting settled in nicely with the Cleveland Browns. Judkins missed week one of the NFL season but has looked sharp since returning. Judkins played a key role in Cleveland’s win over the Green Bay Packers, rushing for 94 yards on 18 attempts and scoring a late touchdown that would tie the game. The Browns later went on to convert a game-winning field goal. Judkins’ touchdown was the first of his career, and he now leads rookies in rushing yards through 3 weeks with 155.
It was a heartbreaking loss for the New York Jets on Sunday as Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers marched down the field and won the game on a field goal courtesy of Chase McLaughlin. Garrett Wilson shined despite the loss, catching 10 passes for 84 yards and 1 touchdown.
The Seattle Seahawks looked dominant in their win against the New Orleans Saints as two former Ohio State wide receivers went toe-to-toe. Chris Olave looked sharp despite the 44-13 loss, catching 10 passes for 57 yards. Pete Werner was everywhere on the defensive side of the ball, making 13 tackles. Jaxon Smith-Njigba also looked solid in the big win with 5 catches, 96 yards, and 1 touchdown.
It was a big day for the Indianapolis Colts as they moved to 3-0 on the season with a win over the Tennessee Titans. Tyquan Lewis looked sharp defensively with 3 total tackles and 2 sacks.
Two former Buckeyes received the unfortunate news that their seasons have come to an end. Nick Bosa went down with an injury in the first quarter, and tests revealed he suffered a torn ACL, according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN. Bosa had been having a dominant season through two games and looked like a potential candidate for defensive player of the year. The 49ers will look to continue their early success without Bosa as they move to 3-0 on the season.
Browns offensive lineman Dawand Jones‘ NFL career will be put on hold for the third straight season due to injury, according to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN. Jones went down in the first quarter after a Packers defender dove on his knee. The Cleveland Browns have sent this particular play to NFL officials to determine if the Packers defender should be held responsible for the incident. Jones had been reportedly trying to get in better shape this offseason to limit injuries, and now his 2025 season comes to an end after just two full games.
The high school football season is heating up, and the stakes are getting higher as teams battle for a chance to win it all. Several future Buckeyes are putting it all on the line to keep their playoff hopes alive for another week. The Southlake Carroll Dragons improved to a perfect 8-0 record on Friday […]

The Good Northwestern’s Train Rolls On Northwestern is 5–2. That’s not a typo. It’s not a fever dream. It’s not a glitch in the standings. The Wildcats — who started this season under a cloud of low expectations and low preseason rankings — just shut out Purdue 19–0 and now sit one win away from […]
34-0 was the result, but even the shutout score doesn’t paint the full picture of this dominating performance. The Badgers (2-5, 0-4) only had 144 total yards on offense for the game. For comparison, Ohio State QB Julian Sayin had 169 yards passing in the first quarter alone. The No. 1 Buckeyes (7-0, 4-0) came […]
