The High School football season has reached the end for some programs, but for others, it’s just the beginning. With the playoffs underway, let’s take a look at some of the key matchups taking place this week.
The Mater Dei Monarchs are preparing to defend their title in a California matchup with Mission Viejo. This Buckeye-filled affair features offensive stars such as Luke Fahey, Chris Henry Jr, and Kayden Dixon-Wyatt. The matchup is set for 7:00 PM
The Southlake Carroll Dragons will look to move on in a matchup with Crowley on November 13th. The Dragons are headlined by Ohio State commit Brock Boyd. The matchup is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
The Glenville Tarblooders will face Lake Catholic on November 14th at 7:00 PM. This Tarblooders’ defense is stout and prepared for the matchup. Led by Jamir Perez and Cincere Johnson, the Tarblooders will look to move on.
St. Edwards will face a strong Whitmer team on November 14 at 7:00 PM. St. Edwards has a rich history of alumni that represented the scarlet and gray, and Mason Wilhelm becomes one of the latest to make the decision. Wilhelm will have to be on his game, along with the rest of the Eagles’ team, if they want to survive and advance for another week.
Wayne will face Troy on November 14 at 7:30 PM. Jamier Brown will have to go out and show the Troy defense why he is called Showtime. A rare combination of size and speed, Brown is highly touted for a reason, and the Warriors’ offense is in good hands with him on the field.
Chaminade-Madonna will take on St. John Paul Academy on November 14th at 6:30 PM. Much like his brother, Angelo Smith will look to shine in the big moment, to lead his team to a victory and advance another week.
