
The high school football season is heating up, and the stakes are getting higher as teams battle for a chance to win it all. Several future Buckeyes are putting it all on the line to keep their playoff hopes alive for another week.
The Southlake Carroll Dragons improved to a perfect 8-0 record on Friday night after routing Northwest by a score of 57-7. Ohio State commit Brock Boyd impressed once again, going over 100 yards and scoring a touchdown in the victory. Boyd is having a sensational season with 694 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Mission Viejo Diablos took victory over San Clemente on Friday night. Diablo’s quarterback Luke Fahey led the offense, completing 23-31 passes for 378 yards and 1 touchdown. Fahey has been superb this season, passing for over 2,000 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 1 interception on the season.
Brady Edmunds and the Huntington Beach Oilers are rolling. The Oilers have won six consecutive games and sit at 7-1 on the season. Edmunds looked sharp against Foothill in the 21-14 win, throwing for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns.
It was all Fort Wayne Northrop on Friday night in the matchup with FW Wayne. Star wide receiver Quay Guilford led the team with 9 receptions, 139 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Guilford has been crucial for the Bruins’ offense, catching 35 passes for 756 yards and 11 touchdowns on the season.
2028 Ohio State commit Elijah Newman-Hall and the Blake Yellow Jackets took victory over Hillsborough on Friday night. The Yellow Jackets’ offense was firing on all cylinders in the 33-21 win. Newman-Hall led the team in rushing with 145 yards and a touchdown. Newman-Hall improved his totals to 695 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns on the season.
Simeon Caldwell and the Bolles Bulldogs improved to 7-1 on Thursday in a dominant matchup against Riverside. Caldwell was a menace on the defensive side of the ball, converting 10 total tackles. Caldwell has stepped up for the Bulldogs in his senior season and will look to continue anchoring the defense.
