It is that time of the week when we recap another week of high school football. Offense was the name of the game this past week, and many future Buckeyes put their skills on display.
The Southlake Carroll Dragons could do no wrong in their matchup against Keller. The Dragons dominated by a score of 63-28, and Ohio State commit Brock Boyd was a factor in the offensive explosion. Boyd finished the game with 9 receptions, 112 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Boyd is having a phenomenal start to his season and recently broke the all-time record for career receiving yards in Southlake Carroll history.
The Mater Dei Monarchs are finding their footing again. Despite a rare loss earlier this season, the Monarchs have been on point lately. Kayden Dixon-Wyatt caught 4 passes for 92 yards and a touchdown in the win over Orange Lutheran. Dixon-Wyatt has had a solid start to his season and will look to play alongside his teammate Chris Henry Jr. in Columbus.
Northrop wideout Quay Guilford and the Bruins took victory over Fort Wayne in an in-state matchup last week. The Bruins won by a score of 35-14, and Guilford was a contributor in the win. Guilford caught 3 passes for 67 yards and a touchdown.
Brady Edmunds and the Huntington Beach Oilers were simply unstoppable on Friday night against Laguna Hills. Huntington defeated Laguna by a score of 65-10, and Brady Edmunds may have had his best game of the season. Edmunds threw 7 touchdowns for 381 yards and completed 22-24 passes. Edmunds is one of the top quarterbacks in 2027 and should continue to see even more growth.
Mission Viejo senior Luke Fahey is having a hot start to his season. Fahey was on point this last week, throwing 2 touchdowns for 333 yards and completing 23-25 passes. The Diablos took victory over Long Beach Poly by a score of 56-7.
The high school football season is heating up, and the stakes are getting higher as teams battle for a chance to win it all. Several future Buckeyes are putting it all on the line to keep their playoff hopes alive for another week. The Southlake Carroll Dragons improved to a perfect 8-0 record on Friday […]

The Good Northwestern’s Train Rolls On Northwestern is 5–2. That’s not a typo. It’s not a fever dream. It’s not a glitch in the standings. The Wildcats — who started this season under a cloud of low expectations and low preseason rankings — just shut out Purdue 19–0 and now sit one win away from […]
34-0 was the result, but even the shutout score doesn’t paint the full picture of this dominating performance. The Badgers (2-5, 0-4) only had 144 total yards on offense for the game. For comparison, Ohio State QB Julian Sayin had 169 yards passing in the first quarter alone. The No. 1 Buckeyes (7-0, 4-0) came […]
