Offense was the name of the game this past week as future Buckeyes put their skills on display. The cheers were loud and the stands were filled with pride as another week in high school football came to a close.
2027 Quarterback Brady Edmunds and the Huntington Beach Oilers took on La Habra on Friday night in a high-scoring affair in which Huntington emerged victorious by a score of 35-30. Edmunds was the star of the night, passing 250 yards and 3 touchdowns, and completing 18-21 passes. Edmunds is having a great start to his junior season and continues to be the catalyst in this Oilers offense.
The Mater Dei Monarchs fell to San Margarita on Friday night by a score of 7-6. The Monarchs, who have been one of the nation’s best high school football programs, are in unfamiliar territory with two losses on the season. 2026 Ohio State commit Kayden Dixon-Wyatt caught 2 passes for 20 yards and 1 touchdown.
Fort Wayne Northrop fell to the Carroll Chargers Friday night in an exciting 48-37 offensive explosion. 2026 Ohio State commit Quay Guilford caught 3 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown in the loss.
The Southlake Carroll Dragons were simply dominant on Thursday night. The Dragons erupted for 66 points over VR Eaton, while holding the Eagles to just 7. Star wide receiver Brock Boyd contributed to the offensive parade with 4 catches, 63 yards, and one touchdown.
The Olentangy Braves took victory in a close battle against Hilliard Darby. The Braves defeated the Panthers by a score of 17-11. Ohio State commit CJ Sanna was everywhere on the field at linebacker, recording 14 total tackles and 1 hurry. Sanna is having an excellent start to the season and continues to be the anchor of the Braves’ defense.
The high school football season is heating up, and the stakes are getting higher as teams battle for a chance to win it all.
