The Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins are moving on to the sectional championship after defeating Fort Wayne Snider in overtime by a score of 17-16. Ohio State commit Quay Guilford stood out, catching 7 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown.
The Bolles Bulldogs took victory over Columbia on Friday night by a score of 31-0. Simeon Caldwell made plays all night on the defensive side of the ball, converting 10 total tackles. The Bulldogs moved on to 9-1 on the season.
The Mission Viejo Diablos defeated the Los Alamitos Griffins in a high-scoring showdown. The Diablos offense quite literally could not be stopped, scoring 76 total points while the Griffins scored 49. Quarterback Luke Fahey put up video game numbers, throwing for 569 yards and 5 touchdowns.
The Chaminade-Madonna Lions fell to St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday night. Safety Angelo Smith had a solid performance, converting 5 total tackles. The junior ends his season with 38 total tackles and 3 interceptions.
The Huntington Beach Oilers are playoff-bound after defeating El Dorado by a score of 27-14. Brady Edmunds led his team with 199 yards and two touchdown passes. The Oilers will face Edison next week.
The Mater Dei Monarchs faced off in a high-ranking matchup with St. John Bosco. The Monarchs pulled off the upset against the No. 1 team in the nation by a score of 36-31. Chris Henry Jr. was superb in the win, catching 5 passes for 213 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The Southlake Carroll Dragons were breathing fire on Halloween night against Keller Central. Brock Boyd was fantastic yet again, catching 4 passes for 40 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The Wayne Warriors defeated Westland on Friday night by a score of 36-6. Jamier Brown looked solid in the win, catching 5 passes for 51 yards. The Warriors improve to 7-4 on the season.
