If college football had mercy rules, this game would’ve ended somewhere in the second quarter. The Washington Huskies steamrolled UC Davis 70-10 in a performance so lopsided, the scoreboard nearly called in sick.
RB Jonah Coleman was unstoppable like a runaway shopping cart headed to dent a brand new car. he rushed 15 times for 111 yards and five touchdowns. That’s not a stat line, that’s EA Sport College Football 26 freshman mode.
Freshman QB Demond Williams Jr. looked like a seasoned vet, throwing for 254 yards and a touchdown while adding 64 yards and a rushing score on the ground.
Special teams got in on the fun, too. Denzel Boston returned a punt 78 yards to the house, showing off moves you haven’t seen since prom.
Washington’s offense was so efficient it should be audited for going 9-for-9 on scoring drives, mixing chunk plays with demoralizing goal-line punches. Meanwhile, the defense treated UC Davis like a practice squad, forcing turnovers and holding them to 67 yards rushing.
Even the backups joined the touchdown parade: Dezmen Roebuck caught a 47-yard bomb, Kai Horton ran one in, and Adam Mohammed added a late score for good measure.
Blowouts allow you to rest your starters and see what your second- and third-stringers can do. And Washington’s backups didn’t just kill clock but they scored, too. That kind of depth is crucial as the season grinds on and injuries start piling up.
This win sets up momentum heading into the bye week and the Apple Cup vs. Washington State.
Reflecting on Jonah Coleman’s electric performance.
“I mean, he had 15 carries and five of them were touchdowns. So, pretty good performance.

UC Davis left with a check and a headache. The Aggies reportedly earned around $625,000 for making the trip, it may have been a tough night on the field, but a valuable payday that helps fund their entire athletic department.

While the scoreboard looked rough, Plough offered a grounded perspective and a wink at the bigger picture:
“We’re not a pat on the back program and I’m not going to accept any pats on the back when we play games like this. Realistically, this game funds our athletic program and helps fund all the sports we have at UC Davis. … This Washington team is a great team and everything I saw today makes me think they will have a great season.”
34-0 was the result, but even the shutout score doesn’t paint the full picture of this dominating performance. The Badgers (2-5, 0-4) only had 144 total yards on offense for the game. For comparison, Ohio State QB Julian Sayin had 169 yards passing in the first quarter alone. The No. 1 Buckeyes (7-0, 4-0) came […]
