Wisconsin added another piece to its transfer portal class with the commitment of Bowling Green tight end Jacob Harris, according to a report from On3. Harris becomes another offensive addition for the Badgers as they continue to reshape the roster heading into the 2026 season.
Harris spent the 2025 season at Bowling Green, where he emerged as one of the more productive tight ends in the Mid-American Conference. He now makes the jump to the Big Ten with two years of eligibility remaining.
Production at Bowling Green
Harris stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs around 260 pounds, giving him the ideal size for the tight end position. During the 2025 season, he finished with five touchdown receptions, providing a reliable red zone target for the Falcons’ offense.
His combination of size and scoring production made him an attractive option in the portal, especially for teams looking to add physicality to their passing game.
Wisconsin has been looking to add depth and production at tight end, and Harris fills that need immediately. His size allows him to be used as both a pass catcher and a blocker, fitting well within the Badgers’ offensive system.
Harris gives Wisconsin another option near the goal line and a veteran presence in a position group that has dealt with inconsistency and injuries in recent seasons.
With two years left to play, Harris has time to settle into the program and carve out a meaningful role. His addition adds experience and proven scoring ability to the offense as Wisconsin continues to build through the transfer portal.
As the portal window remains open, the Badgers appear to be focused on addressing key needs with players who can contribute right away.
