2026 3-star offensive lineman Aaron Thomas has decommitted from Ohio State, according to Hayes Fawcett of Rivals. Thomas had committed to the Buckeyes in late June of this year. He holds offers from 28 other programs, including Florida State, Texas, and Texas A&M. Thomas is a top-50 offensive tackle in the class of 2026.
Thomas attends Mountain Pointe High School in Arizona. The 6-foot-6, 305-pound offensive tackle had been a name to watch as a possible flip candidate after visiting Florida State in October. Thomas’ father played for the Seminoles from 1995-1999.
The Ohio State 2026 recruiting class now sits at 21 members. The Buckeyes currently place 9th in the rankings. The Buckeyes have four offensive linemen in the class, including Sam Greer, Max Riley, Tucker Smith, and Landry Brede.
Recent rumors have been swirling regarding the possibility of the Buckeyes landing 2026 offensive tackle Kevin Brown. Brown visited Ohio State this past weekend to watch their matchup with Penn State. Brown is also considering West Virginia, according to Garrick Hodge of 247Sports. Brown is currently a Penn State commit.

The Buckeyes continue to dominate the recruiting trail, this time with 2026 tight end Nick Lautar. The Lebanon, OH, native flipped his commitment from Louisville.
