The Buckeyes have been on a tear in the recruiting world this month, receiving 11 pledges in the last 19 days across the 2026 and 2027 classes.
McNeel currently attends Godwin High School in Richmond. He ranks as the No. 23 offensive tackle in the class and the No. 234 overall recruit. Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 285-pounds, McNeel’s combination of size and power will look to pay dividends for Tyler Bowen and the rest of the offensive line unit. He primarily plays left tackle but has also seen time on the defensive side of the ball. McNeel will have one more season of his high school football career and will look to continue polishing his skills as a pass blocker. Known for his ability in the run blocking game, he could be exactly what the Buckeyes need by the time he gets to Columbus.
Ohio State’s 2027 class is quickly gaining momentum and doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon. The Buckeyes are currently in contention for many of the top recruits in the class and will look to continue carrying that momentum for as long as they can. The proof is in the pudding for Tyler Bowen and the rest of the staff, as the wins pile up and accolades continue to come in, the city of Columbus will continue to be a popular destination for many of the most talented players across the nation.
