Class of 2026 defensive lineman Emanuel Ruffin has committed to Ohio State. Ruffin chose the Buckeyes over the Missouri Tigers. He was previously committed to Colorado.
Ruffin attends Bessemer City High School in Bessemer Alabama. The 4-star recruit ranks 26th among defensive lineman in the class of 2026. Ruffin stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 295 lbs.
Now 3-7, this Buffaloes team has not lived up to the expectations that fans and media have set. Ruffin visited Ohio State in June of this year before choosing the Buffaloes in September. Ruffin announced his decision to decommit from the team on November 4th and quickly received a crystal ball prediction in favor of Ohio State from Rivals.
Ohio State’s 2026 class now holds 24 commits. The Buckeyes have been scorching hot on the recruiting trail with 5 commitments in the past week. Now 8th in the rankings, Ryan Day and his staff have all the momentum to finish strong before signing day.
Ruffin is the fifth defensive lineman in the 2026 class to choose the Buckeyes. He joins Khary Wilder, Jamir Perez, Damari Simeon, and Cam Brickle. Defensive line coach Larry Johnson’s impressive list of NFL draft picks grew larger this offseason with Jack Sawyer, JT Tuimoloau, Tyleik Williams, and Ty Hamilton. The long list of names is the ultimate sales pitch when it comes to landing the top recruits in the nation.
